Getting to Makrigialos
Road directions from Heraklion to Makrigialos
From the sea or airport...
- Follow the signs to Agios Nikolaos.
- At the first traffic lights at Agios Nikolaos turn right and follow the signs to Ierapetra.
- Just past the village of Pachia Ammos turn again right to Ierapetra. Do not go straight on to Sitia!
- On the first traffic lights in Ierapetra turn left following the sign to Sitia.
- 30km past Ierapetra you arrive at Makrigialos.

Scheduled flights
All major scheduled airlines fly to Athens or Thessaloniki with easy connections to Heraklion by Aegean Airlines
For the summer season starting 25 March 2017 Olympic Airlines will operate the Athens — Sitia — Athens route. Tickets can be booked on the Olympic or Aegean websites. (Aegean now own Olympic Airlines.)
For Athens — Heraklion we now recommend Sky Express – The Airline of Crete – that also offers free lounge access in Athens.
Airport transfers
We can, upon receipt of flight details, arrange transfers to and from Heraklion and Sitia airports.
We are 120 km from Heraklion/HER airport (approximately 2 hour drive) or 55 km from Sitia/JSH airport (approximately 45 minutes drive).

EasyJet
EasyJet will be flying during the Summer season direct into Herklion from Bristol, Edinburgh, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester as well as Berlin, Milan and Paris. Please see the EasyJet website for further details.
Passports
Please make sure that all members of your party have valid passports.
Important! All passports must still be valid 3 to 6 months after your return from Greece.
